Don't miss the cut-off date for RRSP loan and investment applications
RRSP paperwork must be dated, completed and submitted no later than CRA's cut-off date. This is typically March 1st, of the year following the previous tax year.
This deadline is a Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) requirement. Due to this CRA requirement, clients can not receive tax receipts for contributions for any year dated after their cut-off date, typically March 1st of the following year.
(i.e. - for Tax year 2010 the CRA cut-off date is March, 1, 2011).
